Coach Bio:

’ve been a cyclist and racing Road and MTB since the early ’90s. growing up between Mexico, Northern California and Puerto Rico. In 2013 I wanted to begin to “Pay it Forward” and I have mentored and advised cyclists of different levels and abilities. By education, I’m a Mechanical Engineer, with certifications Coaching, Nutrition, and Physiology.  I’m a fluent English, Spanish speaker, and get around in other languages. With a love for all living beings and our Mother Earth drove me to become vegetarian.

I enjoy testing nutrition protocols, equipment and tinkering with stuff in my garage to improve upon existing concepts and designs. I have a firm belief; “you can’t improve what you don’t measure”, and using a Power-Meter since the early 2000’s has been the best tool to learn, improve and develop physical abilities for racing bikes MTB or Road.

I started as a very young kid, racing and working as a bike mechanic. Later, as I further developed as an athlete, I was a multi-time member of the Puerto Rico National Team in MTB, U23 XCO, STXC and XCM National Champion.

Since living in California, I focused on racing at the Masters division and a few PRO races. I have been fortunate to be on the USA Masters team for the World Championships (Placing 4th in 2017), on the podium of the USA MTB National Championships and won multiple times the XC CA-State Championships.

Venturing into ultra-endurance, I have raced MTB Leadville Trail 100 and the Triple Crown Series and other Road and Gravel events

For the future, I’m looking to continue placing in the top podium. If you are pining a number… then lets race!
