CTS Senior Coach – Specializes in Cycling Coaching
“My coaching style is similar to a dimmer switch. We are always working on something, trying to find your weaknesses and improving them. Life is never planned so being flexible and rolling with the punches while still staying on track is key.”
Throughout my younger years, I competed regionally, nationally and across the world in mountain bike racing. While at Brevard College finishing up my degree in Exercise Science I served as an intern at CTS. After graduating I was hired in the fall of 2011.
During high school and college, I ran cross country and competed in all types of cycling. Through the team environment, I discovered I really enjoyed helping my cohorts train and practice. When I started full time at CTS, I wanted to see how far I could get with my personal athletic goals while holding office hours. I jumped back into racing professionally in cyclocross and mountain biking.
My favorite part of coaching is helping someone enjoy and understand the process. In order to accomplish your goals, there are times where the training is tedious or the condition are not conducive to “fun” rides. To help someone grow and stay motivated through that process and then be there for the end result is where I find satisfaction.
