I began pursuing my passion for endurance sports as a cross-country ski racer, competing from childhood through college. Skiing took me from my home town of Colorado Springs, CO to Duluth, MN where I trained as an elite amateur athlete year round, ski racing in the winter and cross-training through cycling and triathlon in the summer. I also completed a B.A.S. in Exercise Science from the University of Minnesota Duluth. Recognizing the limited opportunities available in the skiing world, I pursued coaching and started working with CTS in 2005. I’ve since completed an MSc degree in Biomechanics and moved to California to establish a regional training center in the Santa Ynez Valley. I enjoy riding road and mountain bikes and try to race both a few times each year. When I’m not coaching or riding, you’ll find me exploring the mountains and coastlines of the golden state.
