CTS Delivers Diverse Perspectives by Welcoming Four New Contributing Editors

 

New columns from Reggie Miller, Alison Tetrick, Lisa Bourne, Scott Mercier

(Colorado Springs, March 11, 2021) – CTS, the leader in endurance coaching and training camps, today announced the addition of four new voices to their content team. NBA Hall of Fame inductee and USA Cycling Board Member, Reggie Miller, along with Alison Tetrick, Lisa Bourne, and Scott Mercier, will be CTS Contributing Editors and share their viewpoints, stories, and advice with the Trainright Newsletter audience each Thursday.

Reggie Miller, an avid and competitive cyclist following his 18-year career in professional basketball, commented, “I have been working with Coach Jason Siegle for a few years now, and I want people to know that challenging yourself, at any age, is a good thing. I look forward to joining the team of CTS Contributing Editors and sharing my experiences in cycling and sport.”

The Trainright Newsletter is published three times a week, led by Founder and Head Coach Chris Carmichael’s long-running cycling and training blog on Saturdays. Articles related to trail and ultrarunning by Jason Koop, Head Coach of CTS Ultrarunning, are posted on Tuesdays. Posts from Contributing Editors will be featured on Thursdays. Links to the Trainright Podcast are available in all newsletter editions.

Reggie Miller

Reggie MillerReggie Miller was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2012 after his 18-year pro basketball career with the Indiana Pacers. One of the best shooters in the game, Miller won a Gold Medal as member of Team USA at the 1996 Olympic Games and was a 5-time NBA All-Star. Following his retirement from professional basketball, Miller became a highly sought-after analyst with TNT and took up competitive mountain biking. In 2020 he was named to the USA Cycling Board of Directors. He currently works with CTS Coach Jason Siegle and rides his road, gravel, and mountain bikes for training. Alison Tetrick

Alison TetrickAlison Tetrick is a professional cyclist and entrepreneur who started out with successful career on the road and transitioned to become a champion gravel racer. She won a bronze medal at the UCI Team Time Trial World Championship in 2014, and then won the 2017 Unbound Gravel (then known as the Dirty Kanza 200) and set a course record. She continued with podium finishes at Unbound Gravel in 2018 and 2019, along with 3 wins at the Gravel World Championship in 2017-2019. In 2020, Alison launched Saga Ventures, LLC, a consulting firm based on curating meaningful community engagement and brand activation. Alison uses this platform to achieve direct social impact in her community with company revenue going to scholarships to help promote inclusivity and opportunity for aspiring student-athletes. Lisa Bourne

Lisa BourneLisa Bourne is the Senior Director of Diversity, Inclusion & Social Impact at Zwift, and an avid cyclist with 18+ years professional experience (Retail, Ecommerce, Consulting, Non-Profit), an MBA degree from Harvard Business School and 20 years on the bike. As an African-American woman and one of the only active members of her family, Lisa’s primary goal has been to try to inspire and motivate others by riding 5,000+ miles per year on her bike. She has also volunteered in various cycling ambassador capacities (i.e. Team Luna Chix Seattle, Bicycles Plus Dallas, Carmichael Training Systems (CTS) Diversity & Inclusion Consultant, etc.) with the goal of driving diversity and inclusion within the sport. Scott Mercier

Scott Mercier competed for Team USA in the Team Time Trial event at the 1992 Olympic Games. Following the Games he raced professionally for the Saturn and US Postal Service cycling teams during his 7-year pro career. He won the 1996 Rapport Tour in South Africa and 1997 Tour de Toona and rode the 1997 Vuelta a España. Scott currently works in finance in Aspen, Colorado. Read columns from Scott Mercier.
