Cyclists will have opportunity to bundle CTS services with the purchase of a KICKR smart trainer
(ATLANTA) Wahoo Fitness, the leading producer of smartphone connected cycle trainers and fitness wearables, has announced a partnership with endurance coaching company, Carmichael Training Systems (CTS). With the partnership, Wahoo will supply KICKR smart trainers and TICKR heart rate monitors for use by CTS staff and clients at their four training centers in the United States. CTS and Wahoo will also team up to provide cyclists with the opportunity to bundle coaching services with the purchase of a new KICKR smart trainer. Beginning immediately, consumers can purchase a new KICKR and three months of full-service CTS coaching for $1500—a savings of $300.
“CTS has coached over 15,000 athletes in the past 15 years and they know how to maximize any rider’s performance,” said Wahoo Fitness CMO Mike Stashak. “Athletes rely on CTS to achieve significant, measureable results and, when their reputation is on the line, they only rely on the best training equipment including our KICKR smart trainers. Our smart trainers connect with a wide range of devices, including iOS and Android phones and tablets. That connectivity, combined with a massive ecosystem of training apps, makes KICKR the perfect partner for cyclists and triathletes looking to improve performance indoors or out.”
“I’ve used and analyzed just about every kind of indoor bike or trainer that’s been made,” said CTS founder and CEO Chris Carmichael. “Thanks to an amazing road feel and nearly instantaneous resistance control via smart phone or tablet, the Wahoo KICKR is the best training device we could offer our coaches and clients. Because of the ecosystem of apps that are available to control the KICKR, our athletes can achieve an unprecedented level of precision with their training.”
Wahoo Fitness Challenge
With the Wahoo Fitness Challenge athletes who purchase the bundle of a Wahoo KICKR and 3 months CTS Coaching will be eligible to earn performance-based discounts of up to 20% on future CTS coaching and additional Wahoo products. In the first three months of coaching, CTS Athletes typically experience a 6-12% increase in maximum sustainable power output as measured by the CTS Field Test. With the Wahoo Fitness Challenge, each percentage point of improvement will earn an athlete a corresponding discount on 12 months of CTS Coaching and select Wahoo products, including the TICKR lineup of heart rate monitors and workout trackers.
“The Wahoo Fitness Challenge is a great opportunity for athletes to earn rewards while they pursue their fitness and performance goals,” said Carmichael. “We know that a motivated athlete who follows his or her training plan will experience significant and meaningful improvement in their first 3 months working with a CTS Coach.”
