Modeled After a Pro Team’s Spring Training Camp and Set in a Cycling Mecca

If you’ve signed up for the Mavic Haute Route Rockies or an epic cycling event in 2018, you better show up prepared. This training camp is designed to stretch your limits; it’s a three day road cycling training block that will push your fitness to a new level. This is a great training experience for anyone preparing for a major cycling challenge! We’ll be pre-riding some of the 2018 Mavic Haute Route Rockies course and coaches will give you tips on how to be successful at the event.

You can’t hide poor fitness on multi-day rides or even huge 1-day events. And poor group riding skills and bike handling will compound any weaknesses. Improve your fitness and your skills with 3 long days of riding under the guidance of CTS coaches. The beautiful and challenging roads of Boulder, Colorado will test the fitness of any cyclist. And our professional coaches provide feedback and instruction to improve skills and hone performance. Fully supported rides, professional mechanics and daily power file analysis complete the experience at our Epic Endurance Training Camp.

Camp Itinerary

DAY 1

CHECK-IN DAY

Where: TBD Boulder

Check-in Time: 3:00-5:00PM

Arrival: After dropping off your bike and completing a brief check-in process, you’ll join the CTS coaching staff and fellow riders for introductions, a gourmet dinner, and a preview of the week ahead.

Breakfast: ON YOUR OWN @ 6:00-8:00AM
Lunch: ON YOUR OWN @ 12:30-1:30PM
Dinner: PIZZERIA LOCALE @ 6:00-7:30PM

DAY 2

BOULDER CANYON LOOP

Mileage: 40 – 70
Elevation Gain: 4000-7000 FT
Ride Time: 3.5 – 4 Hours

Description: A front range classic from Boulder route through Ward Colorado. Certain to ensure a great day of training with beautiful views of the Flatirons.

DAY 3

BOULDER TO WINTER PARK

Mileage: 50-90
Elevation Gain: 6000-1100 FT
Ride Time: 3 – 6 Hours

Description: The most difficult day of camp is one to remember. Climbing through the front range our coaches will guide you through 10,000 plus feet of climbing.

Dinner: PROVIDED BY CTS @ 6:30-7:30PM

DAY 4

CARTER LAKE LOOP

Mileage: 50-70
Elevation Gain: 2500 – 3000 FT
Ride Time: 3 – 3.5 Hours

Description: With two great rides in the books, the Carter Lake Loop will give you a chance to push yourself to the limit before heading home. With a rolling course, your legs will be screaming for recovery by the end of our final day at camp.

Camp Conclusion: The Carter Lake Loop caps off a great training camp. Lunch again will be waiting for you at the finish of the ride and will be followed by a final sit down with your assigned coach to review the week’s training data. This will conclude the camp, and those looking to head out of town early will be done by 3pm.

The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the camp and will be billed automatically. The credit card information used for your deposit will be billed unless otherwise arranged with the CTS accounting department.

If you are shipping your bike, please make sure it arrives at CTS by 5/21/2017 so we can have it built and prepped in time for camp.

After you sign up, please let the camp manager know if you would like us to pack your bike for shipping at the conclusion of the camp, we will do it free of charge.
