Mileage: 50-60 miles
Elevation Gain: 5,000-6,500 ft
Time Range: 4-4.5 hours
The signature climbing day is planned around the Blue Ridge Parkway, subject to weather, road access, and coaching judgment. Long ascents and forested descents create an ideal setting to practice sustainable climbing, precise pacing, consistent fueling, and controlled descending. High mountain views reward the work while coaches help you match effort to grade and manage repeated climbs efficiently.

The finale offers route options matched to athlete ability, accumulated fatigue, and conditions. Expect a demanding mix of steep climbs, remote roads, flowing descents, and scenic valleys across Transylvania County.
