Join us to explore the incredible gravel roads of Steamboat Springs! Refine your technical skills and event strategy while savoring the fantastic food and vibrant nightlife this charming town has to offer. We’ll cap off the week with the renowned gravel race, SBT GRVL, ensuring an unforgettable experience!

SBT GRVL stands out as one of the world’s premier gravel races, highlighting the exceptional terrain that Colorado is known for. With its smooth, hard-packed gravel, the course rolls quickly while challenging riders with elevation gains and varied terrain. The breathtaking landscape of Steamboat Springs provides a stunning backdrop for our daily adventures.

Throughout this camp, you’ll be treated like a professional cyclist, enjoying top-tier mechanical support and expert coaching. Along with personalized on-the-bike coaching, we will help you dial in your race day strategy including nutrition, course recon, and pacing.  After several days dedicated to refining your gravel riding skills, prepping your race strategy, and exploring the incredible roads of Routt County, we’ll be ready to put it all into action as we toe the line for the SBT GRVL event.

Camp Itinerary

DAY 1

CHECK-IN DAY - DATE TBD

Check-In Time: 2:00-4:00pm

Where: Location Coaches Field Office in Steamboat Springs, CO

Arrival Description: Welcome to arrival and check-in day at the CTS House! After you drop off your bike and complete a quick check-in process, you’ll join the CTS coaching staff and fellow riders for a short leg-opening ride at 5:00 PM. Following the ride, coaches and athletes will gather for a group dinner, where we’ll discuss the exciting days ahead and build camaraderie for the week to come.

Training Presentation @ 7:00PM-9:00PM

Dinner: 6:00pm at local restaurant

DAY 2

GRAVEL ENDURANCE RIDE AND COURSE RECON

Mileage: 50-60 miles

Elevation Gain: 2000-3500 FT

Time Range: 3 - 3.5 Hours

Brief Ride Description:  We'll embark on a long gravel ride that highlights key sections of the SBT GRVL event, ensuring you're well-prepared for what lies ahead. This ride will provide ample mileage to help you familiarize yourself with the course and terrain while soaking in the stunning beauty of Steamboat Springs.

DAY 3

GRAVEL SKILLS

Mileage: 20-30 miles

Elevation Gain: 1000-2000 FT

Time Range: 1 - 2 Hours

Brief Ride Description: Join us for a focused shorter gravel ride designed to hone the essential skills and techniques for the SBT GRVL event. After the ride, enjoy a delicious lunch followed by an insightful training presentation.

DAY 4

EASY RIDE AND FINAL EVENT PREP

Mileage: 10-20miles

Elevation Gain: 1000-2000 FT

Time Range: 1 - 2 Hours

Brief Ride Description: After a brief morning session reviewing the highlights of the SBT GRVL course, we'll embark on a shorter recovery ride to loosen up before the big event. Following our ride, we'll enjoy a nutritious lunch, pick up our race packets, and finalize preparations for an exciting day ahead. We will conclude the day with a group dinner to go over the final points before race day!

DAY 5

SBT GRVL EVENT - 

Mileage:  37-141 miles

Elevation Gain: 2000-9000 FT

Time Range: Will vary

Brief Ride Description: It’s time to toe the line for the much-anticipated SBT GRVL event! With three distances to choose from, you’ll experience the stunning terrain of Steamboat Springs, featuring smooth gravel roads, rolling hills, and breathtaking views. With the exceptional support and preparation from CTS, we encourage you to challenge yourself and choose a distance that pushes your limits. After conquering the course, we’ll celebrate our achievements together with a farewell group dinner, reflecting on an unforgettable week of riding and camaraderie!

Dinner at 6:00-8:00PM at the CTS Field Office post-event.

Camp Conclusion Description: The camp concludes following the SBT GRVL event and dinner.  CTS will pack your bike for departure after you finish the ride.
