It's hard to beat the Santa Ynez Valley's challenging roads and warm spring weather for early-season miles. CTS has been holding Spring Training Camps in this popular cycling destination for over 20 years, and many top pros continue to train on the same roads.
At the All-Inclusive version of our traditional Spring Training Camp, you will be treated like a professional cyclist in every way: from daily massages, to professional mechanical support, to individual power file analysis with our coaches. At this camp, we will focus on early-season endurance miles that will prepare you for the season ahead. We'll conclude with the popular Solvang Century, a great addition to a week of excellent early season miles.

DAY 1
CHECK-IN DAY - 3/11/2024

Arrival Description: After dropping off your bike and a brief check-in process, you’ll join the CTS coaching staff and fellow riders for a gourmet dinner and a preview of the week ahead.
Dinner: At host hotel at 6:00PM
DAY 2
CTS FIELD TEST
Mileage: 25-60
Elevation Gain: 2000-3500 FT
Time Range: 3 - 3.5 Hours
Brief Ride Description: The Canyons! Ride all the most legendary roads in the Valley tied into one! We’ll explore Foxen Canyon, Drum Canyon, and the quaint towns of Los Alamos and Los Olivos today.
Breakfast: 7:30-8:30AM at host hotel
Lunch: Post Ride
Dinner: 6:00pm at local restaurant
DAY 3
MANNY’S RIDE (JALAMA BEACH)
Mileage: 42-84
Elevation Gain: 3000-6000 FT
Time Range: 3.5-5.5 Hours
Brief Ride Description: A long endurance paced ride that takes us to scenic Jalama Beach. Expect quiet country roads that include a surprising amount of climbing and some technical descending.
Breakfast: 7:30-8:30AM at the host hotel
Lunch: Post ride
Dinner: 6:00pm at local restaurant
DAY 4
FIGUEROA MOUNTAIN
Mileage: 42-60
Elevation Gain: 5000-6000 FT
Time Range: 4-5 Hours
Brief Ride Description: The Fig Loop is never easy! It’s a challenging mountain ascent that climbs for nearly 10 miles and 3500 ft. The scenery is spectacular along the climb and the descent is beautiful and challenging.
Breakfast: 7:30-8:30AM at the host hotel

Dinner: 6:00pm at local restaurant
DAY 5
SANTA YNEZ VALLEY ENDURANCE MILES
Mileage: 15-35
Elevation Gain: 750-2000 FT
Time Range: 2 Hours
Brief Ride Description: The ride is at a comfortable pace today as we prepare for tomorrow’s final big mileage day. While not a true recovery ride, is a good place to rest the legs before a tough final day.
Breakfast: 7:30-8:30AM at the host hotel
Lunch: Post ride
Dinner: 6:00pm at local restaurant
DAY 6
SOLVANG SUPER RIDE - 3/17/2024
Mileage: 100
Elevation Gain: 4500 FT
Time Range: 4.5-7 Hours
Brief Ride Description: This is one of the oldest rides in California and a beautiful tour through the Santa Ynez and Santa Maria valleys. The route is plenty challenging but still fast, and you’ll have great CTS support along the way.
Breakfast: 7:30-8:30AM at the host hotel
Lunch: Post ride
Dinner: 6:00pm at local restaurant
Camp Conclusion Description: Our camp concludes with a final group dinner at the Santa Ynez Inn. Lodging is covered through Saturday night.
