About The Coach
“As a coach, the most rewarding moments for me are when I know the athletes I work with are standing on the starting lines of their goal events as physically and mentally prepared as possible. Usually, this preparation yields a great result, but no matter what transpires, no one can take away the journey of that training and preparation.”
I fell in love with bikes and bike racing after my first mountain bike race in 1993. By 2001, I had won my first national championship (Masters 35 + road race) and was coaching endurance athletes full time. Since then I have coached athletes to national championships on the road, time trial, mountain bike, and cyclocross as well as competed in hundreds of events myself on and off road all over North America. All of these experiences help me guide athletes on the path to their athletic goals and dreams. I thrive on working with athletes of all ability levels in all disciplines of cycling and ultra running. I also enjoy doing epic events on a tandem with my wife. Currently, I split my event goals between cycling and ultra running events.
