Patrick McGlade
CTS Expert Coach – Specializes In Ultrarunning Coaching
“The human body is dynamic and coming from the sport’s Physical Therapy world, I make sure to pay attention to the early signs of injury or burnout. I enjoy working on the creative side of training, working within the confines of family, life, or injury to ensure progress while respecting the curveballs life may throw at us.”
Coach Bio:
Growing up playing youth sports, I always enjoyed pushing myself but didn’t fall in love with distance running until college. In 2009, the races I began running in Virginia led me to a deep respect of the multifactorial nature of ultrarunning, and the need to truly understand each aspect, and began my self-guided research into the matter.
I had an eclectic work history prior to returning to school to study Physical Therapy. It was there that I dove into physiology and enjoyed getting into the weeds on running form, rehabilitation of running injuries, and other orthopedic injuries. I have since continued my education with numerous continuing education classes on the matter. I have continued my own running exploits with finishes at Western States, Grindstone, Leadville, Ouray, and various other races of all distances; including a solo run across the United States in 2009 at the age of 21. Currently a professional firefighter, husband, and father in Lakewood, Colorado, I understand the razor-thin line of balancing family life, training, and work and look forward to exploring that line with my athletes.

- Transcontinental Run – Huntington Beach, CA to Tybee Island, GS
