Mindy Kaufman

Endurance sport is, at its core, a process of discovery–of ourselves, of resilience, and of what’s possible with consistent, intentional work. Through this lens, I have found the most continuous source of joy in my life–working with athletes who are pursuing exactly that. From new runners who are embracing discomfort for the first time to the seasoned masters athlete still pushing their performance forward, there is a unique beauty in actively chasing what we yet to know is possible.

My own path in running has always been closely tied to the mountains. I developed a deep love for the outdoors in the Teton Mountain Range in Alta, Wyoming, and after my collegiate cross country and track career, I returned to my roots to pursue trail racing while also building a competitive cross country and track program. That experience shaped my coaching philosophy: prioritize curiosity over rigidity, develop the whole athlete, and commit to long-term, sustainable progress guided by science-backed best practices.

An educator at my core, my goal is to equip my athletes with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to take ownership of their running and training. I believe the best results come from a collaborative process built on clear communication, informed decision making and always keeping the “why” intact. Whether it’s finishing a first race, or finishing first in a race–having the right support system can make all the difference in unlocking the answers to the questions endurance sport gives us.
