Julia Priest
CTS Senior Coach – Specializes In Cycling Coaching
“I have learned that coaching is far more than the science books teach you. While data and science are the foundation, there is an understanding of a person that is critical. I try to be flexible and problem solve with each unique athletes obstacles.”
Coach Bio:
I fell in love with endurance sports first through soccer. As I moved towards college I began my switch to running. I competed at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire for three years in track and field and in cross country. During the final year of undergraduate education, I switched to racing bikes. I also began my internship that same summer. This internship was with CTS. I learned an incredible amount from the coaching staff and new I wanted to move forward to coach with CTS. I pursued coaching and started working with CTS in 2010. I trained with CTS from their Colorado location and then moved to California when they opened doors in Santa Ynez. I competed heavily while in California both road and mtb. I managed the physiology lab in California and really enjoyed test athletes. There is truly no better place than the golden coast. I recently moved with my husband to Lexington Kentucky where I continue to explore on both road and mtb.
