Jeana Miller

CTS Pro Coach

“As a coach, I strive to learn and understand each athlete’s unique personality and goals in order to assist them in reaching their full potential. I believe that listening to an athlete’s dreams and desires is a vital first step in creating a plan of attack for success. Training plans are an important component of coaching but creating a relationship where I understand the challenges and obstacles that the “rest” of their life brings is extremely important to help me use innovative techniques and encouragement to succeed with those goals.”

Coach Bio:

I’ve always enjoyed competing and being outdoors and after a successful collegiate soccer career, I quenched my desire for competition through triathlons and bike races. After completing my master’s degree in Kinesiology (with an emphasis in Gerokinesiology- older adult fitness), I coordinated two wellness programs at California State University, Fullerton for ten years. This experience gave me the opportunity to share my passion for health and well-being with people from the age of 20 to 100 years old.

I believe that exercise and movement is the key to a happy and healthy life! While competing in every distance of triathlon including the Ironman and Xterra I was constantly approached by friends seeking my help with the various aspects of training and racing. My interest in working with friends and family continued to grow until I decided to join CTS and transition my passion for sports and wellness into a coaching career.

In coaching for CTS for over a decade, I’ve been able to help athletes of all ages stay healthy and injury-free while reaching their goals in multiple disciplines including cycling (road, gravel, and MTB), triathlon, and ultra running. I’ve worked with novice to elite athletes and being a mom, I understand the demands of balancing life, parenting, training, and reaching high-performance goals. I’m a USA Cycling level 2 coach and BICP MTB coach and enjoy teaching bike lessons and mountain bike clinics to people of all ages. In my free time, I enjoy sharing the outdoors with my husband and our children. We enjoy backpacking, running, riding bikes, surfing, snowboarding, and eating great food!
