Camp Frequently Asked Questions

Most CTS Camps will have between 10-15 athletes and rarely exceed 20. No matter how many athletes attend, we pride ourselves in having enough support staff and coaches at camps to give every athlete personal attention.

Athletes are never pressured to “keep up” with a group or left to support themselves because of a shortage of staff. We make sure you’re taken care of always 🙂

We recommend signing up for camp at least 2 months prior to the start date. Please be aware that many of our camps sell out early on in the season. If we happen to have spots left, we’re happy to accommodate last-minute bookings.
You will receive a receipt for you sign up immediately after you signup online. The Camp Manager for you particular camp will reach out to you via email 4-6 weeks prior to the camp start date.
For most camps, your remaining balance will be charged 45 days prior to your camp start date using the credit card you signed up with.
Due to safety concerns, we do not allow triathlon or time trial bikes at our road cycling camps or Bucket List Events. You are welcome to bring one to any of our triathlon camps or reach out to athleteservices@trainright.com to setup a private camp with a coach.
In most cases, your significant other is welcome to join you, however, we will need to charge you for the price of additional meals. Please contact your Camp Manager for more details on specific camps.
We’ve created very general guides for what your skill and fitness level should be for particular camps.

Rest assured no athlete is ever “holding up a camp.” These Athlete Levels are intended to give you a general sense of who each camp has been designed for, but are in no way an exact description of which athletes should attend. Our coaches always split our camps up into groups so that every athlete can work at their current fitness level and get personal attention from the coaches. You’ll push your limits at our camps, but still have a great experience without ever feeling pressured to keep up.

We understand everyone has their own unique dietary restriction and we will always do our best to accommodate those needs. Please contact your Camp Manager ahead of your camp so they can give you more detailed information.

We boast a high coach-to-athlete ratio at all of our camps. This enables us to give personal attention to every athlete, and break the camp into groups of athletes of similar ability levels.

You’ll see mileage and hour ranges for our camp days, because one group may ride 70 miles while another may take a shorter 45 mile route. We are flexible and ready to cater our camps to our athletes’ needs so that everyone has a great experience.
