Joanne Kiesanowski

I’m Joanne Kiesanowski, a 3-time Olympian for New Zealand with a lifelong love for cycling—both on the road and the track. I raced professionally for over 16 years, competing at the highest levels around the world, including the Olympic Games in Athens, Beijing, and London, as well as World Championships and Commonwealth Games. Since stepping away from racing, I’ve been passionate about helping others reach their goals on the bike. I’ve coached and directed athletes from beginners to World Champions to masters athletes, and I really enjoy working with motivated athletes who are excited to improve—whether it’s chasing a national title, targeting a big stage race, or simply riding stronger and smarter. I bring a mix of high-performance experience and a personal, supportive coaching style.

I’ve coached and directed with national teams and trade teams, had my own coaching company (Kaha Performance), and worked with athletes across many disciplines and ages. I believe in long-term planning, consistent communication, and building a coaching relationship that works for you and your goals. I understand the demands of busy work and family life, and I enjoy helping athletes find a sustainable balance that fits their lifestyle and training goals. I’ve lived, raced, and coached all over the world, and I’ve always loved connecting with different cultures and learning new languages along the way.
