Coach Bio:
My journey in athletics and coaching is driven by a passion for helping others achieve their best, both physically and mentally. I developed a love for teaching and coaching while serving in the Air Force as an Instructor Flight Engineer and being a leader in my squadron’s fitness program. After serving for 11 years honorably, I separated and went back to school. I earned a Master’s of Science Degree in Exercise Physiology from California State Fullerton, which allowed me to coach across a wide range of disciplines.
I owned Olympic Weightlifting Gyms in Northern California, where I had the privilege of coaching a team of National Level Weightlifters for six years. I worked with athletes in Women’s Volleyball, Swimming, Baseball, Football, and shorter-distance runners. I also gained invaluable experience interning as an athletic trainer.
I then transitioned into the Tactical Strength and Conditioning realm, where I had the opportunity to work with the Army’s 10th Mountain Division and Air Force Special Warfare. There I honed my skills in tailoring training programs for both elite tactical athletes and conventional soldiers.
Later, I discovered ultrarunning, and since then, I’ve completed races such as the Bandera 100k, Rim to River 100 miler, Falling Water 100k , and Cabin Fever 50k. I’ve also had the rewarding experience of helping coach athletes at events like the Cabin Fever, Mogollon 100 miler, and Hood Hundred 100 miler.
