Carmichael Training Systems will be hosting a Grand Opening to celebrate the launch of the new CTS Santa Ynez Regional Training Center on the central coast of California! The highlights of the Grand Opening will be an opportunity to ride with CTS Founder and renowned coach Chris Carmichael, and endurance sports expo, and tours and demonstrations at our state-of-the-art training and physiological testing facility in Santa Ynez, California. MainStreet Cycles will be on hand for a Trek Demo Day, enabling cyclists to test out a wide variety of Trek bicycles, and CTS will be giving away valuable products and services in hourly prize drawings. One lucky participant will receive the Grand Prize of the day: a cycling jersey signed by 7-time Tour de France Champion Lance Armstrong.

• 9:00 – 9:30 – Welcome and Facility Tour
• 9:30 – 11:00 – Ride with Chris Carmichael, fully supported by CTS
• 11:00 – 12:00 – Lactate Threshold Test  Demonstration
• 12:00 – 2:00 – 3D Bike Fit Demonstration
• 1:00 – 2:00 – Tour de France viewing/discussion with Chris Carmichael
• 2:00-3:00 – Book Signing with Chris Carmichael
• 2:30 – Raffle for Lance Armstrong autographed jersey

The beauty and variety available in the Santa Ynez Valley makes it a great place to host training camps. The 2011 camp schedule includes a special Ironman Prep Camp for triathletes who are preparing for Ironman Kona, Florida, or Arizona. This triathlon camp, from August 4-7, will take advantage of the Santa Ynez region’s valley roads, convenient ocean access, and the summer heat. Heading into the fall, the Santa Ynez center will travel north for a reconnaissance camp for the King Ridge Gran Fondo and hold a Harvest Cycling Camp in September. In October they will host a Cyclocross Training Camp.
