I came to coaching from a racing background, enjoying a fun and successful collegiate cycling career. I did this while earning a B.S. degree from Virginia Tech in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise followed by a M.S. degree from Appalachian State University in Exercise Science. In addition to coaching, I enjoy many outdoor mountain activities including hiking with my dog, and have continued racing at the category 1 level in road and cyclocross events. I have recently been participating in one-day events like gran fondos and gravel grinds, which I enjoy doing with my girlfriend. Most recently I was the manager of a small bicycle shop where I enjoyed most building relationships with customers and problem solving technical needs for events.
I have the educational background to provide bike fitting and lab testing and enjoy working with athletes who want a high level of science background. I enjoy working with every level of athlete and challenging myself to be a better coach. I can provide all of the CTS services including event support, training and race nutrition, race strategy, and training camps.
All forms of endurance exercise including everything from criterium and road racing, to one day and ultra-endurance bucket list type events. I enjoy combining my background in the fields of nutrition and exercise science, with my experiences to create a complete plan to help you achieve your goals.« Back to all coaches
