I’ve always enjoyed competing and being outdoors and after a successful collegiate soccer career, I quenched my desire for competition through triathlons and bike races. After completing my master’s degree in Kinesiology I coordinated two wellness programs at a local university for ten years. This experience gave me the opportunity to share my passion for health and well-being with people from the age of 20 to 100 years old. I believe that exercise and movement is the key to a happy and healthy life! While competing in every distance of triathlon including the Ironman and Xterra I was constantly approached by friends seeking my help with the various aspects of training and racing. My interest in working with friends and family continued to grow until I decided to join CTS and transition my passion with sports and wellness into a coaching career. In my free time I enjoy sharing the outdoors with my husband and son. We enjoy surfing, snowboarding, riding bikes, and eating great food!
As a coach I strive to learn and understand each athlete’s unique personality and goals in order to assist them in reaching their full potential. I believe that listening to an athlete’s dreams and desires is a vital first step in creating a plan of attack for success. Training plans are an important component of coaching but creating a relationship where I understand the challenges and obstacles that the “rest” of their life brings is extremely important to help me use innovative techniques and encouragement to succeed with those goals. After years of working with people in a wellness setting I know that it’s not only the effort that is put in during a workout but everything else in life that affects the desired outcome. My goal is to provide my athlete’s with the information they need on issues pertaining to nutrition, stress management, increasing muscular strength, or recognizing the importance of recovery to help them continue to learn how to be the best that they can be.
In my role as a CTS coach, I’m an expert in personal coaching, training camps, private camps, race-day support crew, weight management, creating resistance training programs, implementing the mental aspects of endurance racing, and nutrition strategy. I thrive on helping others learn to push their limits and reach their dreams!« Back to all coaches
