Darcie Murphy
CTS Pro Coach
“Coaching is a team sport. When the athlete and I work in tandem to create and reach goals, we are most successful. Optimized performance comes through consistency and a balanced, strong body and mind. I place a strong emphasis on helping athletes balance life’s demands in order to achieve their greatest athletic potential.”
Coach Bio:
Sharing my love of physical fitness and helping others push themselves to their maximum potential in their own sports is my greatest drive to coaching, but for me, coaching is a team sport. My greatest success comes when I can work in tandem with an athlete to help them balance the demands of their personal lives while working to achieve their greatest athletic potential.”
I have always loved endurance sports. My childhood spent in the Tetons of Wyoming exposed me to the challenges and rewards of a life outdoors, and I knew at an early age that I wanted to develop professional skills to share that knowledge with others.
While completing a degree in Health Education at Utah State University I began competitive road and mountain bike racing. Racing at the national and international level took me to many parts of the US and gave me invaluable experience in the world of professional athletics. I started coaching with CTS in 2003, and it was the perfect opportunity for me to combine my two passions—endurance sports and teaching. Eventually, bike racing turned into trail racing, and I have also since added alpine ski and snowboard instruction and personal training to my list of teaching credentials. I never tire of pushing my physical and mental limits and I love coaching other athletes to achieve the same!
