2017 Amgen Tour of California Route Announcement Video
Great rides & Exclusive Access to the Tour of California
CTS is the only organization that provides you complete access to the 2017 Amgen Tour of California, and Chris Carmichael is planning on coaching at this Bucket List event! The race organization treats Team CTS like we are one of the pro teams. You will ride every stage with VIP access to the course, meaning you’ll have access to areas closed to the public and other tour groups. You will share your meals with the pro teams and stay in the host hotels. Your bike will be cleaned every day by our professional mechanics, and our professional soigneurs will provide a post-stage massage each evening. This event is a huge challenge, and an unforgettable opportunity to experience a professional stage race fro the inside.
SEE WHAT THIS TRIP IS LIKE
This is one of the most popular Bucket List Events and it sold out in 2015 and 2016, so register for the ATOC Race Experience before it’s full!
The guy ahead of you in line for dinner won a stage of the Tour de France last year. The guy behind you won today’s ATOC stage. And when you leave the team dinner to go back to your room in the hotel where all the teams are staying, you share a laugh with the World Champion in the hallway. That’s what it’s like when you’re on the inside of the Tour of California for 8 days with Team CTS!
Want to ride with legendary professional cyclists like Jens Voigt, Freddie Rodriquez, and Phil Southerland? All three rode with Team CTS during the 2016 ATOC Race Experience, sharing their experiences and stories with the group along the way!
Even the pros give Team CTS credit for riding the entire Tour of California route. “I think it’s pretty hard-core,” said 4-time US Pro National Champion and Giro d’Italia stage winner ‘Fast Freddie’ Rodriguez. “The pros have been having a hard time themselves trying to get through this race, and for a compact group to do the same distance, that’s a lot of miles and a lot of time.”
Working together to meet the challenges of riding every stage of the Tour of California creates lifelong friendships. The camaraderie within Team CTS lasts far beyond the finish line, and our riders, coaches, and staff stay in touch and meet up again for trips and cycling camps year after year.

At the end of each day your bag is waiting for you in your room after the stage, and our professional soigneurs will work the miles from your legs with a post-stage massage.

This is cycling's version of the baseball fantasy camp. Spend the day riding some of the most spectacular routes in the world, cheered on by race fans and supported like a pro. And in the evenings - after your massage - have dinner with the top pros in cycling. You have to be fit for this trip, and riders have ranged from 30-68 years old. You don't have to be a racer, but you will gain an understanding of what it's like to work as a team.)
