Ride Great Gravel, Practice Off-Road Skills, and Finish With the Strada Rossa Gravel Event

If you’ve signed up for a gravel cycling event in 2018, you better show up prepared! This training camp is designed to stretch your limits; it’s a three-day road/gravel cycling training block that will push your skills and fitness to a new level.  Whether you’re targeting an extreme event like the Dirty Kanza 200 or any other gravel grinder, this camp is your opportunity to put the necessary miles in your legs. And even if you’re not doing a CTS Bucket List Event, this is a great training experience for anyone preparing for a major cycling challenge.

But enough training talk, this camp is also going to be a blast!  The Strada Rossa might just be the most fun multi-surface event you tackle all year, and we’re adding two days of great riding in the foothills of the San Bernardino mountains.  We’ll be riding mixed surfaces all three days – pavement, gravel, and even singletrack, and you’ll be grinning ear-to-ear on every ride!

During and after each ride our professional coaches will provide feedback and instruction to improve your skills, hone your performance, and leave you with tips and advice you can apply to the rest of your season. As always with CTS camps, we’ll provide fully supported rides, professional mechanics and daily ride file analysis to complete the experience.

Recommended Accommodations

LOCH LEVEN CAMP AND CONFERENCE CENTER
The Strada Rossa Gravel Camp will be based out of the Loch Leven Camp and Conference Center in the foothills above Redlands, CA.  We will start Thursday and Friday’s rides from this location, and hold most of our group meals and coach led-discussions at the conference center.  We’ve put together an accommodation package at the Loch Level Camp for Strada Rossa participants with limited rooms available.  For $275 for the 3 nights (Wed-Fri nights) you will have a private room (shared bathroom with 1 other person/room) that includes linens.  Please note that this is a mountain camp, not a hotel, so the accommodations are a little rustic.  But it is gravel camp!  If you prefer to stay in a hotel, you are welcome to book anything in the Redlands area and drive back and forth from the Loch Leven Camp each day.
Let us know if you would like to reserve a room at Loch Leven after you register for the camp.
Loch Leven address: 8171 Mountain Home Creek Rd, Forest Falls, CA 92359

About Bakersfield, CA

Bakersfield is located in California’s Central Valley, below the southernmost foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range.  And while it probably isn’t high on your list of cycling destinations, this is best time of year to ride in this region of California, and we promise you’ll be surprised by the scenic beauty.  And the gravel/off-road riding is amazing, which why we’re headed to this location in the first place!  Bring your gravel tires and off-road gearing and prepare to enjoy the riding through challenging green hills, orchards, ranches and farmlands- both during our camp and during the Rock Cobbler event.
