  • Cycling Gravel Spring Training
Ride Great Gravel, Practice Off-Road Skills, and Finish With the Sadistically Fun Rock Cobbler Event

If you’ve signed up for a gravel cycling event in 2018, you better show up prepared! This training camp is designed to stretch your limits; it’s a three-day road/gravel cycling training block that will push your skills and fitness to a new level.  Whether you’re targeting an extreme event like the Dirty Kanza 200 or any other gravel grinder, this camp is your opportunity to put the necessary miles in your legs. And even if you’re not doing a CTS Bucket List Event, this is a great training experience for anyone preparing for a major cycling challenge.

But enough training talk, this camp is also going to be a blast!  The Rock Cobbler might just be the most fun-yet-grueling event you tackle all year, and we’re adding two days of great riding around the spring-green foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains.  We’ll be riding mixed surfaces all three days  – pavement, gravel, and even singletrack, and you’ll be grinning ear-to-ear on every ride!

During and after each ride our professional coaches will provide feedback and instruction to improve your skills, hone your performance, and leave you with tips and advice you can apply to the rest of your season. As always with CTS camps, we’ll provide fully supported rides, professional mechanics and daily ride file analysis to complete the experience.

About Bakersfield, CA

Bakersfield is located in California’s Central Valley, below the southernmost foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range.  And while it probably isn’t high on your list of cycling destinations, this is best time of year to ride in this region of California, and we promise you’ll be surprised by the scenic beauty.  And the gravel/off-road riding is amazing, which why we’re headed to this location in the first place!  Bring your gravel tires and off-road gearing and prepare to enjoy the riding through challenging green hills, orchards, ranches and farmlands- both during our camp and during the Rock Cobbler event.
