We have built 4 days of amazing riding featuring classic climbs and unbelievable scenery. Our coaches will be on the road with you to ensure that you have the best rides possible. After three fantastic ride, we save the best for last with the HC climb of Pikes Peak.  You’ll have your breath taken away by the views and the fact that you will be standing 14,115 feet above Sea Level.

Camp Itinerary

DAY 0

CHECK-IN DAY – 7/10/2019

Where: CTS Colorado Springs Athlete House 

Arrival Description:  After checking in your bike and into your room, we will have group introductions before addressing the details and expectations of camp. Our presentation on Altitude will set the stage for the week’s riding and we will close out the evening by a group dinner.

Training Presentation @ 7:00PM (Performing at Altitude)

Breakfast at ON YOUR OWN @  6:00-8:00AM

Lunch at ON YOUR OWN @ 12:30-1:30PM

Dinner at CTS ATHLETE HOUSE @ 7:00-8:30PM

DAY 1

GARDEN OF THE GODS AND COLORADO SPRINGS CLASSICS

Mileage: 40-50

Elevation Gain: 3000-4000 FT

Time Range: 3 – 4 Hours

Brief Ride Description:  Up, Up, and Away today we will climb one of the Olympic Training Centers classic testing climbs, Cheyenne Canon. We will also take a lap in the Garden of the Gods, before finishing with several other local favorites.

DAY 2

TOUR OF COLORADO’S GOLD BELT

Mileage: 60-85

Elevation Gain: 6000-9100 FT

Time Range: 4 – 6 Hours

Brief Ride Description:  This will be a truly epic day of cycling through Colorado’s “Gold Belt”.  We’ll start the day with rolling terrain before climbing towards the mining towns of Victor and Cripple Creek.  This route follows southern Colorado’s Scenic Byway along infamous stage coach routes used during the Colorado Gold Rush.

Breakfast at CTS ATHLETE HOUSE @  6:00-8:00AM

Lunch at TBA @ 12:30-1:30PM

Dinner at CTS ATHLETE HOUSE @ 6:30-7:30PM


DAY 3

PLATTE RIVER LOOP

Mileage: 40-55

Elevation Gain: 2700-5000 FT

Time Range: 2.5 – 4.5 Hours

Brief Ride Description:  Today you will be riding through some hidden gems of the Front Range of Colorado.  We’ll starting near Deckers, Colorado and follow the South Platte toward Buffalo Creek and Pine.  We will loop through Conifer and come back through Foxton Canyon while the beautiful scenery continues along the Platte River.

DAY 4

PIKES PEAK

Mileage: 35-65

Elevation Gain: 7000-9500 FT

Time Range: 4 – 7 Hours

Brief Ride Description:  Pikes Peak, America’s Mountain, inspired the lyrics to America the Beautiful. Today you will ride through some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world as you wind your way up to the summit at 14,115 feet. After summiting you will have the option to enjoy the descent back to Colorado Springs.

Dinner at ON YOUR OWN @ 6:30-7:30PM

Camp Conclusion Description: After summiting Pikes Peak and safely arriving back to the CTS Athlete House, we will have lunch waiting for you. That afternoon, we will shuttle you to the airport, so that you can get home to share all of the unbelievable stories you will have from the incredible riding you did at the Pikes Peak Climbing Camp.
