Ride Elephant Rock and the challenging and beautiful routes of Colorado Springs, including Pikes Peak!

Join us for a spectacular 4 days of riding around Colorado Springs, CO. This camp focuses on endurance riding, coach-based training rides, and riding with power. We will ride through the scenic mountains surrounding Colorado Springs, tackle Pikes Peak, and finish the week off with the challenging Elephant Rock Century.

You will improve your cycling skills and knowledge while riding with our world class coaches and learn everything you need know to successfully ride the Elephant Rock Century. All camp participants will receive an entry into Elephant Rock Century or Metric Century.

The camp is four days of riding and working with CTS Coaches. Every bike will be outfitted with a power meter and the power files will be analyzed daily by your assigned coach. You’ll learn numerous training and riding techniques and the get the chance to practice under the supervision of the coaches. Although this camp has challenging routes, we welcome all levels of riders to this camp.

Camp Itinerary

DAY 0

CHECK-IN DAY

Where: CTS Colorado Springs Training Center

Check-in Time: 3:00-5:00PM

Arrival: After checking in your bike with our mechanic, we will have group introductions before addressing the details and expectations of camp. Our presentation on Altitude will set the stage for the week’s riding and we will close out the evening by a group dinner.

DAY 1

PLATTE RIVER RIDE

Mileage: 40- 60
Elevation Gain: 2000-5000 FT
Ride Time: 3 – 4.5 Hours

Description: Today you will be riding through some hidden gems of the Front Range of Colorado. We will start near Deckers, CO and follow the South Platte toward Buffalo Creek and Pine. The climb up Foxton Canyon can’t be missed!

Lunch @ 12:30-1:30PM


DAY 2

PIKES PEAK

Mileage: 35-65
Elevation Gain: 7000-9500 FT
Ride Time: 4 – 7 Hours

Description: Pikes Peak, America’s Mountain, inspired the lyrics to America the Beautiful. Today you’ll ride through some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world as you wind your way up to the summit at 12, 115 feet. After summiting your will have the option to enjoy the descent back to Colorado Springs.

DAY 3

BEST OF COLORADO SPRINGS WITH GARDEN OF THE GODS

Mileage: 35-50
Elevation Gain: 2000 – 4000 FT
Ride Time: 2 – 3 Hours

Description: We have a more mellow ride today planned to give the legs a break before the Elephant Rock Century. Our route will take us through the iconic Garden of the Gods Park and on some of the favorite local cycling roads.

Dinner at CTS COS OFFICE @ 6:30-7:30PM


DAY 4

ELEPHANT ROCK CENTURY

Mileage: 100, 62
Elevation Gain: 2000 – 6000 FT
Ride Time: 5 – 8 Hours

Description: Challenge yourself with either the 100 mile or 62 mile option at the Elephant Rock Century. The 100 mile route boost 6k of climbing through stunning horse properties and the rolling hills of Black Forest. With stunning views of the Front Range Mountains without having to climb them, it is easy to understand why this is a favorite century for riders of all abilities.

Camp Conclusion Description: After completing the Elephant Rock Century we will celebrate with a group lunch before everyone departs for home.
