Camp Itinerary

DAY 1

CHECK-IN DAY

Where: CTS Colorado Springs Training Center

Check-in Time: 3:00-4:00PM

Arrival: Bring your bike and best attitude as we are only getting started. After checking in your bike, we will have group camp introductions before addressing the details and expectations of camp. Our presentation on Sports Nutrition will set the stage for the week’s riding and we will close out the evening by heading to a local favorite for dinner.

Training Presentation @ 5:00PM (Sports Nutrition for Better Performance)

Dinner: MARIGOLD CAFE @ 6:00-7:30PM

DAY 2

CTS FIELD TEST & BIKE SKILLS

Mileage: 25- 50
Elevation Gain: 2000-3500 FT
Ride Time: 3 – 3.5 Hours

Description: We start camp with a bike handling skills session and the CTS Field Test. Even the best pros spend time working on their skills and there is plenty to learn from the coaches leading and demonstrating the drills. The CTS field test you’ll tackle next will allow you to establish training ranges for the rest of camp. This morning’s ride is also where we practice climbing and descending technique with the stunning backdrop of The Garden of the Gods.

DAY 3

CLIMBING, CORNERING, DESCENDING, AND GROUP RIDING

Mileage: 25-50
Elevation Gain: 2000-3500 FT
Ride Time: 3 – 3.5 Hours

Description: After starting the day with a discussion on how to descend and corner with more confidence, we will break into groups and head out to ride some of our favorite local roads. With the ability to accommodate any fitness or skill level, our coaches will ensure that each athlete gets personalized attention to help improve their comfort on the bike while Climbing, Cornering, Descending, and riding near other cyclists.

DAY 4

PUTTING IT TOGETHER ON PIKES PEAK

Mileage: 25-50
Elevation Gain: 2000 – 3500 FT
Ride Time: 4 – 5 Hours

Description: While we would love to get everyone to the summit, don’t let the mountain scare you out of this beautiful ride. With a challenge like nothing else you have ever ridden, we end on this beautifully paved road that with unparalleled views. Can you make it up America’s Mountain? No matter how far you are able to go, our coaches and support vehicles will be there helping you to put a punctuation on a great set of rides.

Camp Conclusion: Camp concludes with a review of your power file from Pikes Peak and a final group lunch at our Colorado Springs office.

A non-refundable $350.00 deposit is due at time of registration.

The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the camp and will be billed automatically. The credit card information used for your deposit will be billed unless otherwise arranged with the CTS accounting department.

If you are shipping your bike, please make sure it arrives at CTS by 8/21/2017 so we can have it built and prepped in time for camp.

After you sign up, please let the camp manager know if you would like us to pack your bike for shipping at the conclusion of the camp, we will do it free of charge.
