Master Climbing, Descending, and Group Riding Skills

Cycling Skills and Training 101 camps are perfect for cyclists looking to improve climbing and descending performance, and who are also looking to learn essential road cycling skills, like riding close to other cyclists, basic drafting, eating and drinking on the move, etc. This is a great camp for riders who find climbing, descending, and/or riding in a group intimidating.

This camp is designed for beginner and intermediate road cyclists who want to get better at riding, learn about training, and those who simply want to get in a good 3-day training block. Each day will include 3-4 hours of riding, and we’ll complement the work we do on the bike with coach-led training presentations on sports nutrition, training with power, and other topics. You will also sit down individually with a coach for one-on-one power file data analysis after every ride. All camp rides feature full mechanic and nutrition support and a high coach-athlete ratio.

And while this mountain will challenge your legs and resolve, you will also enjoy a spectacular ride that takes you from the saguaro cacti of the desert up to cool pine forests, brisk air, and dramatic windblown igneous rock.

Camp Conclusion: The ride up Mt. Lemmon caps off a great week of desert riding. Lunch again will be waiting for you back at the office and be followed by a final sit down with your assigned coach to review the week’s training data. This will conclude the camp, and those looking to head out of town early will be done by 3pm.

Breakfast: ON YOUR OWN @ 6:00-8:00AM
