We all need a long training block or time away from the grind and to pretend like it’s our job to ride our bike, and get a concentrated dose of training and coaching.
Our Spring Cycling Camp is just that. Spend 6 days on your bike focusing on early season endurance miles and refining your group riding skills alongside our team of coaches in one of the best kept secrets on the East Coast. Every mile will bring beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains as we roll along quiet country roads through fertile green valleys. At camp you will be treated like a professional cyclist in every way: professional mechanical support, individual power file analysis with our coaches, and catered meals created specifically with your training in mind.

These cabins are just up the hill from CTS and are designed to seamlessly interact with the outdoors. DAY 1
CHECK-IN DAY - 4/5/2021
Check In Time:5:00 PM
Where: Hampton Inn Brevard- 275 Forest Gate Dr, Pisgah Forest, NC 28768
Arrival Description: Arrive at the Hampton Inn, get checked in with our coaching staff and mechanics.
Dinner TBA- @ 6:00-8:00PM
DAY 2
CTS FIELD TEST
Mileage: 40-50
Elevation Gain: 2000-3500 FT
Time Range: 4 - 4.5 Hours
Brief Ride Description: New camp athletes and alumni will complete the CTS Field Test and a bike skills session before concluding the day with some endurance riding.

Ride departs at 10:00am and returns between 12:30 and 3:00pm

DAY 3
THE PARKWAY LOOP
Mileage: 64-74 Miles
Elevation Gain: 5000-6500 FT
Time Range: 4 - 4.5 Hours
Brief Ride Description: Climb from the Davidson River to the top of the ridge and to the Blue Ridge Parkway before screaming down to the northern side of the ridge. Once there we will ride around Lake Logan before again climbing up via Hwy 215 back to the Blue Ridge Parkway. One more epic descent and we are back to the rolling terrain of the French Broad River and home!

DAY 4
THE ETOWAH SHUFFLE
Mileage: 50-60 Miles
Elevation Gain: 2500-3000 FT
Time Range: 3.5 - 4.5 Hours
Brief Ride Description: A favorite of the staff and locals alike today will be a break from the longer climbs of the first days of camp. We will run through the Mills River Valley and Etowah North toward the South Mills Recreational area of Pisgah National Forest. Making a large loop once at our furthest point the groups will ride back toward Brevard. Again on the rolling terrain of the river valley. However, don't let this description deceive you on the overall elevation of the day. The continuous rolling hills of the valley add up to a good deal of total climbing for the day!

DAY 5
THE LOOKING GLASS FALL RECOVERY RIDE
Mileage: 10-15 Miles
Elevation Gain: 400-500 FT
Time Range: 1-1.5 Hours
Brief Ride Description: Today is geared toward rest and recovery. We will ride lightly into the Pisgah National Forest toward Looking Glass Falls. Along the way a few photos and some simple pace line drills will come into play for sure!

DAY 6
THE CAROLINA CRUSHER – April 10th
Mileage: 61-71 Miles
Elevation Gain: 5800-6500 FT
Time Range: 4+ Hours
Brief Ride Description: Our final route will be a local classic. Starting in the center of downtown Brevard we will ride until we reach the continental divide. From here our course takes us to the piedmont of South Carolina down a snaking road with lots of views and corners to please all! After riding the rolling terrain of South Carolina we will embark on the 6 miles of climbing of Caesars Head, a local climb used by pros and enthusiasts alike! Once atop the climb our group will enjoy a run into Brevard on rolling terrain!
