Carmichael Training Systems' popular Power Training Classes are the best way to improve your fitness during the winter! During 8-weeks of high-voltage indoor training classes, athletes see a clear improvement in their sustainable power output and learn to train with power.
This is also your chance to train directly with CTS Founder & Head Coach Chris Carmichael! Chris will be personally leading classes, based on his availability due to his travel schedule.
How do we know these classes work?
A 2007 study by Klika et al., (J Strength Cond Res. 2007 Feb;21(1):265-9) showed that, on average, class participants experienced a 13% increase in power output over eight weeks. These one-hour classes are a great way to add some structure to your training without having to add a lot of training time.
Class Requirements:
Bring your own bike to the class and our staff will help you mount it on one of 24 Computrainers in our facility. Once you feel comfortable mounting your own bike on the Computrainer, you are welcome to do so.
Schedule Information:
Session 1: Week of November 5 through Week of December 24
Session 2: Week of January 1 through Week of February 18
Session 3: Week of February 25 through April 15
Morning Class: Tues/Thurs Morning (6-7AM)
Evening Class: Tues/Thurs Evening (6-7PM).
We request that you sign up to attend either all Morning or all Evening classes; we cannot guarantee you'll be able to jump into an evening class if you miss the morning session, or vice versa. The classes are held at The Endurance Sports Club at Carmichael Training System, located at 600 South 21st Street, Colorado Springs, 80904.
