Looking for your best finish at Levi Leipheimer’s King Ridge GranFondo? Maybe you are just looking for some fantastic climbing and an opportunity to meet people who love cycling just like you. Whatever your goal may be, this is the camp for you!
No matter which King Ridge GranFondo route you are riding this year, you will be climbing and descending on scenic roads in California. Nearly every cyclist we work with wants to improve his or her ability to climb or descend better. This two‐and‐a‐half day camp is just what you need. Held along the Pacific Ocean, flanking the base of King Ridge, this camp will teach you key techniques that help riders of all sizes and shapes excel when the road tips toward the sky.
And since what goes up must come down, we'll also help you develop the confidence and skills you need to descend quickly, safely, and efficiently. Camps include course reconnaissance, first class support, Cyclops PowerTap, and daily analysis or presentations to make this the most successful event possible.
This two-and-a half day reconaissance and training camp is open to riders of ALL LEVELS, from beginners to advanced. We highly recommend that your bicycle be equipped with a 12-27 cassette, and/or a compact crankset, for this camp.
The weather during this time of year can vary from 50-85 degrees, and rain showers can sometimes pass through at higher elevations. Be sure to come prepared for all weather conditions.
Participants in the CTS King's Ridge GranFondo Camp will receive a complimentary entry into the 2011 King's Ridge Gran Fondo event. You must attend the camp in order to receive your entry. Athletes with confirmed entries into the event are also encouraged to attend.
