We set ourselves apart from a lot of coaching organizations by developing programs specifically designed to meet the demands of 5k and 10k events. Whether you're looking to beat your personal best or stand on the podium (or both), your training needs to focus on intensity as well as endurance. It's long been said that simply running more 10-minute miles won't make you fast enough to run an 8:30 pace, so we incorporate a wide range of speed-specific workouts that give you the aerobic fitness and stride mechanics to run faster. |

Ultramarathon
When you commit to training for an event above and beyond that of a typical marathon distance, you have reached a threshold where simply adding weekly training mileage no longer yields improved performance. Our CTS running coaches understand the demands of these long endurance events and the implications they have on the body. To successfully prepare you for the longest of distances, your coach will personally design training blocks that balance intensity with distance, and strenuous training with recovery. Your coach will also supply you with their knowledge of race and training tactics such as how to properly hydrate and give your body the proper nutrition it needs to make through your goal event. By building the endurance and economy through a carefully monitored combination of shorter and longer runs, as well as plenty of recovery, you'll step onto the start line with confidence and superior fitness. |
