Sprint Adventure Racing
At only a few hours in length, sprint-distance adventure races are the perfect introduction to this exciting sport. Yet, as many people have learned the hard way, experience as either an endurance or power athlete doesn't necessarily mean you can just breeze your way through a sprint adventure race. With well-planned and activity-specific training, you'll to enjoy the race more and finish with the results you desire.

One-day Adventure Racing
One-day adventure races (loosely ranging from 8-30 hours) are the perfect way to experience the challenge of ultra-endurance competition without having to take a week off from work. These are essentially the working man and woman's adventure race, and that's a big part of the reason we take your busy lifestyle into account when designing your training. With an emphasis on activity-specific strength training, superior aerobic conditioning, and race-day strategy, you'll be prepared to go long and still perform at your best.

It's one thing to prepare for a marathon, a century ride on a bicycle, or even a long-course triathlon, but an ultra-endurance event is a different animal. The variety and breadth of physical challenges are daunting, and so are the psychological challenges you'll face as the hours stack up. While a training program can prepare your body, our focus with adventure race coaching is to prepare your mind and body simultaneously. We'll help you develop the habits that conserve energy, stave off fatigue, ensure you're getting enough food and fluid, and keep you safe and alert all the way to the finish.

Expedition Adventure Racing
Preparing for week-long adventure competitions is serious business and you need a coach who's as invested in your performance as you are. The endurance, strength, and nutritional demands of these grueling events are unique in the world of ultra-endurance sports, and with Eco-Challenge Champion Sara Ballantyne leading the way for our coaches, we have the expertise to make sure you're as prepared as possible for your big event.

Fatigue management is one of the critical aspects for success in multi-day adventure races. Your abilities to make good decisions, maintain a fuel and fluid schedule, keep up with clothing, equipment, and hygiene routines; and operate productively within your team are critical to success, safety, and fun. Preparing the body for the challenge of ultra-endurance events is only part of the coaching process; we also focus on giving you the tools to optimally apply your fitness and intellect to the event.
