Worked with Ironman pros Craig Alexander, Heather Wurtele, ITU pro Nathan White, Ironman 70.3 World age group champion Raul Tejada,

My parents were very athletic when I was young, and I would beg to go on training runs with my dad before I was 5. By the time I was 5, I had already run 5k road races with my mom (have pictures to prove it). My dad was the swimming and track coach at a local high school, so running and swimming were the sports I chose to focus on.

Ironman, draft legal triathlon, Xterra

I work to encourage athletes to achieve their potential through hard work, determination, and discipline. Sport, even if it is your job, should always be enjoyable and fit into a well balanced life, and a coach should help you maintain that enjoyment and balance.

Great communication on the way towards their goals, whatever they may be.

Living through the tough times with my athletes. It's hard to watch people you care about and are invested in miss their goals, but it also really helps motivate me to keep pushing us onward and upward.

Don't really need extra motivation other than lining up

bowling league, building things, reading

that changes every year.
