Coaching Background
I decided to pursue training and education as a coach because:
I enjoy athletic competition and seeing other people succeed at reaching their goals.
I decided to join CTS because:
I wanted to gain practical knowledge of coaching from the best coaches in the world.
What I liked best about the CTS coaching residency program:
The ability to ask questions or seek advice from the best coaches in the world.
The best thing about being a coach is:
Seeing other succeeding.
Coaching accomplishments:
Seeing anyone succeed at accomplishing their goal.
My area of coaching expertise is:
Running & Cycling
My strongest coaching quality is:
Listening to my athletes and then applying what I have learned to make them successful.
Athletic Career Highlights
When I started running/cycling and what got me started:
In the eight grade my school was holding tryouts for cross country and I wanted to see if running was a good fit for me. It turned out that it was. I started cycling as an alternative to running when the weather got really hot.
Athletic accomplishments:
Being the youngest person to complete every race (in a single season) on the Tennessee State Park Running Tour
What I would have done differently in my competitive days if I knew what I know now:
My easy days would have been easier.
What I would not change:
Striving to reach my potential.
My near and far-term athletic goals:
To compete and have fun doing it.
My strongest athletic quality is:
Never giving up.
Miscellaneous
When I’m not coaching or training I like to:
Watch college basketball, pro football, and just being outside.
Something non-sports related that no one would guess about me:
I enjoy working on model trains
My favorite meal/dessert is:

Spare bike tubes

A bike pump, helmet, and pretty much everything else to go on a ride.
The oldest piece of sports equipment I am still using:
A pair of running shorts from 1998
The best small bit of advice I can give is:
If you are going to do something put your full effort into it. If you do not, you will never reach your full potential.
You would never mistake me for:
A football player
