I am an athlete by burning desire and an endurance athlete because I was too small for football (so claims my mother). I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a B.S. in Mass Communication, but decided I was more interested in racing triathlons than running a TV station. Since 2007, I have raced tris and running races on all corners of the country. I was a personal trainer for 3 years before transitioning my focus to endurance coaching. I can currently be found exploring the mountains and desert floor of the American Southwest. My goal this season is the 40k time trial.
What makes CTS different from other companies on the market is the level of concentration we’re able to give to our athletes; we are full time coaches and can dedicate our full time attention to your goals and obstacles. As such, I work with cyclists, triathletes, runners, elite and novice alike, and am dually motivated by helping my clients reach their training and racing goals and by constantly learning how to improve my ability to do so. I often can be found running operations behind-the-scenes at CTS camps, handling logistics, troubleshooting on-the-bike issues and otherwise allowing my clients to do what they like doing best: swimming, riding and running (and eating, and sleeping).
As all CTS coaches, I am foremost an expert in one-on-one coaching. Utilizing your background information, your goals, motivation and available training time and the bevvy of tools and equipment available to create the most meaningful, most time-effective, most enjoyable training program possible to achieve measurable success. I have a lot of experience with failing motivation and finding a way to make the sport enjoyable again. In the camp setting, I am a buck-stops-here soigneur who handles all aspects of in-the-saddle support.« Back to all coaches
