Wow…how time flies. I became involved in endurance sports in 1987, dabbling with road cycling for two years, before switching to mountain bike racing. As the mountain biking scene gained momentum, my focus broadened from 2-3 hour races to longer, 100-mile and 24-hour events.
In 1996, I began ultrarunning, completing my first 50-miler. That same year, my adventure racing and long-distance orienteering career took off. For the past 15 years, my primary focus has been mountain trail ultras, having been fortunate to compete in world-class events in the Alps (Tor des Géants, UTMB, Zugspitz Ultratrail), the Pyrenees (Ronda dels Cims) and throughout the U.S. (Hardrock, Barkley, Leadville, TransRockies).
With a wide background in endurance sports, my coaching plan will inspire and guide you as you strive to reach and exceed your athletic goals.
Life balance is a key component in ensuring long-term success in endurance sports. We all have priorities outside of our athletic sphere. I am available to collaborate with you on a personalized training plan, tailored to your available time, level of desire and overall lifestyle. With the comprehensive CTS coaching philosophy and network of professionals as the backbone, we will develop a program that allows you to reach your maximum potential.
Having competed in endurance sports for three decades, my first-hand experience and intimate knowledge of pushing the boundaries of what is humanly possible, helps form the foundation of my coaching. I can help you properly train for, finish and excel in running, mountain biking or adventure racing events of any distance or duration, while keeping your mental attitude sharp and focused on your goal. “Those at the top of the mountain didn’t fall there.” Through discipline and passion, let’s get you to the top of the mountain.« Back to all coaches
