In 1997, I did something crazy. After playing baseball since the age of 3, and into college, I decided to do a mountain bike race. Since that one race, Ive been hooked. I was fortunate enough to take my time on a mountain bike to the pro level for both XC and endurance events. I was first exposed to CTS when I worked with Colin Izzard from 2003-2007. I saw the immediate value in coaching and working with someone to monitor what you were doing as a athlete. Since I gave up my pro license, I have been coaching endurance athletes for the past 3 years. Off the bike, I like to spend time with my wife and dog. We enjoy paddle boarding, hiking, camping, fly fishing and just lounging in the pool.
I have been very fortunate to see my athletes grow and progress in their sports. It’s very rewarding to see them have a great event or hit a new milestone in training after a lot of hard work. I love to share what I have learned along the way with my athletes. My attention is focused on what my athletes need. I pride myself on quick responses to emails and phone calls.
My diverse range of cycling events allows my athletes to draw from my experiences. Whether its XC mountain bike races, 100-mile mountain bike races, gran fondos, cyclocross or road races, Im able to draw on my past experiences to give my athletes the best I can.« Back to all coaches
